Freiburg is a
picturesque city that lies on the outskirts of the Black Forest.

impossible to ignore: the Freiburger Münster (Freiburg Cathedral). The masterpiece of Gothic
architecture was finished in 1513. If you love spectacular views and
are not afraid of stairs, you should definitely climb the
381-foot-high tower.
You can cool down
your tired feet in one of the numerous Bächle (little waterways) that are unique to Germany. They meander through the Old Town and pass charming cafés
and outdoor restaurants. Here you can sit amongst locals and
students, enjoy the regional cuisine and experience the relaxed
mentality of Southern Germany.
Freiburg is one of
Germany's greenest cities and has a large number of biking and
walking tracks. You have the choice of discovering the region by foot
or by bike. By car, the Black Forest,
Alsace or
Switzerland
are only one hour away.
Freiburg is a very
laid-back place. However, besides your casual outfit, you should also
